On this week of Digital typography, I learned about different
types of typography. One typeface that stood is a commonly used typeface for
many different types of advertising and logos for brands. I’ve heard of it and
seen it multiple times but was not aware of how popular it actually is until watching
this week’s discussion video. They gave examples of brands and logos who use
this typeface, and it gave me so much nostalgia, so I decided to look into more
brands that use Cooper Black for their advertisement. This week taught me how certain characteristics and details can give a typeface personality, and the importance of readability when creating your own typeface.
