For my final week of typography, I got to produce my own typeface. After weeks of drafting different types of fonts. I decided to produce a serif typeface and called it Curve Serif. The name came from the curvy lettering I designed. I used an app called Calligraphr it was very easy to navigate.
This by far was my favorite project. I made a typeface that was fun and funky, it wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed the assignment. Below I am attaching my final template from Calligraphr and my final project poster for my Typeface.
Digital typography taught me that using the correct typeface, color and size can tell different stories. Typography can give different meanings to the messages we try to send. It is more than just words it makes a product, and it's a way of expressing yourself. This class was very knowledgeable, and it taught me the importance of typography.
