For this week of typography, we learned about different types of calligraphy and did a deep dive on graffiti. I learned that there are many different types of calligraphy. Through different fonts, sizes, boldness, or certain characteristics we can change the way a word delivers a message or captures your intended audience's attention.
An example I've noticed this week is the whole foods logo. It looks like a clean and simple. The feet give it a refine look and I feel that it fits the stores name.
An example of a san-serif font is the Netflix logo. Its font is bold and simple. The red pops and emphasizes even more with its dark background.
These are two of the many typographies that we see in our daily lives. It plays a huge part in marketing and our everyday surroundings such as social media, poster, signs, movie titles, logos, and our workplace.
